Women of DPC Connect is a small, in-person mastermind for women physicians preparing to step into Direct Primary Care ownership. This is a focused space for connection, perspective, and confidence-building at a critical transition point.

Half-day mastermind hosted at a working DPC office
Approximately 8:30 am – 2:30 pm

You do not need to prepare anything in advance. Simply come as you are, with whatever questions, hopes, or concerns feel present right now.

Saturday includes:

  • Financial clarity session with a DPC-focused CPA

  • Small-group work on ideal patient and elevator pitch

  • Practical, low-lift social media and visibility guidance

Women of DPC Connect is meant to feel like sitting down with thoughtful colleagues who understand what it is to carry patients, a practice, and a life beyond the office. The emphasis is on honest conversation, shared wisdom, and care for your capacity as a whole person.

Dr. Anne Gonzalez

Dr. Anne Gonzalez is a Family Medicine physician and and co-founder of Emerald Health Direct Primary Care in North Carolina, host of the DPC Life Podcast, and creator of Harmony Ops. As a DPC founder and community leader, she is passionate about supporting women physicians in launching and growing their own practices.

Dr. Rachel Kelly

Dr. Rachel Kelly is an Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician and co-founder of Emerald Health Direct Primary Care. Prior to opening Emerald Health, she was the director of a nearby Internal Medicine residency and outpatient physician at an insurance based private practice. One of her goals in DPC is to support other physicians to open their own DPC practices.

One private Clarity & Ownership Session - a 60-minute one-on-one conversation with Anne focused on identifying bottlenecks, simplifying decisions, and strengthening confidence as you prepare to launch. (Virtual session at a later date.)

Questions you might have

Is this only for physicians who have not yet opened their DPC practice?

No. The gathering is for women physicians who are within about six months of launching as well as those in the early months after opening. The common thread is that you are still in a formative season of building your DPC practice.

Is this only for North Carolina physicians?

No. Physicians from surrounding states are welcome. The event is hosted in North Carolina, but attendees from nearby regions are welcome.

What is the focus of this event?

This gathering focuses on the internal frameworks required to step into practice ownership, including how physicians think about their value, money, visibility, boundaries, and self-promotion. These are areas most of us were never taught in training but must navigate as owners.

What if I already understand DPC from a technical standpoint?

Many attendees already understand the logistics of DPC. This event focuses on the less visible work: internal readiness, confidence in charging and marketing, boundary-setting, and stepping into ownership with clarity.

What if I am introverted or feeling stretched thin?

You’re absolutely welcome here! This space is intentionally designed for physicians who may feel uncomfortable with traditional ideas of self-promotion. We’ll talk about how to communicate your value and show up professionally in ways that respect your energy and boundaries, rather than pushing you toward approaches that feel distressing or inauthentic.

Do I need to attend the Friday dinner?

No. The Friday evening dinner is optional and intended as a casual opportunity to connect with other attendees and speakers. The core event takes place on Saturday.

Will hotel information be provided?

Yes. Hotel recommendations and logistics details will be shared with registered attendees closer to the event.

What is your refund policy?

Tickets are fully refundable up to 7 days prior to the event. Within 7 days, tickets are non-refundable due to committed meals and materials. Emergency situations will be handled with care and compassion.
